Bates Saddle
Bates saddle question..?
SO im considering getting a bates. What are the pros and cons of bates vs jaguar except for the fact bates is cheaper. Also any other brand that you LOVE, I would like to know. Although I do know that I never want another Hermes again, as I cant stand the old-fashioned hard seat.
My REAL QUESTION though is [in bates saddles] is the color "caramel" the same as "newmarket" ?
I have ridden is Bates all my life. They are incredibly comfortable, and put you in a good position. Not only are they comfortable for you, but your horses back is protected by the CAIR panel system. And the gullet can be changed easily. They are also incredibly easy to clean, as you just vacuum them. I have been through 3 horses/galloways in the past four years and my Bates Isabelle has fitted each one perfectly, and no sore backs!
The Jaguar is banana backed so suite only/mainly arabs with sway backs. It is also leather so you must clean/condition when you finish riding. And yes, the colour caramel is the same as newmarket, but bridles and matching leather bits of gear and hard to come by as they rarely match exactly!
