Ovation saddle reviews?
Has anyone ever owned/ridden in an Ovation 4-star Eventing saddle? I have long legs (I'm about 5'10") so the forward flaps look wonderful, but I need it to work for flatwork too. Any thoughts?
I've also heard good things about the Ovation Competition Showjumping Saddle, has anyone ever ridden in one of those? Would the flaps accommodate long legs well? I know they are available with a long flap, but have not been able to actually sit in one of these saddles.
Right now I'm riding in a Bates, and I love it! So something similar in feel/fit would be lovely.

I've never actually ridden in an Ovation, but I've sat in them at the tack store. I was not thrilled with the quality, particularly the quality of the leather. You can't expect top quality in that price range, but I thought the quality was worse than other similarly priced saddles. But if it works for you, give it a try!
