Bridle Set Reins
First set of English tack?

I've recently gotten a horse who rides western and English, I only ride western but I want to take a shot at English riding.
The saddle is my biggest concern.
I'd like a few suggestions, my price limit for everything(saddle, leathers, stirrups, girth, bridle, reins, bit, saddle pad(s) and breastplate/martingale) is $3,000usd.
I know that I need a 16.5 or 17 inch saddle, and color isn't important.
48 inch girth, full/horse sized everything else.

Something close contact/eventing kind. and I'd really like it to have a changing gullet like the easy change gullet system or the XCH.

It will be going on the back of a 15hand, medium/narrow withered Quarter X Thoroughbred X Tennessee Walking Horse.

What brand do you recommend? Is there anything I left out?

I'm currently looking for a new saddle and the process is long. Since you're just kind of trying it out for fun i would get an all purpose saddle. That way it's good to do both flat work and if you want to, jumping. I can't really tell you what brands i would look at, because of how they all fit. I have been getting different ones on trial and seeing how they fit my horse. It's helped me figure out what to look for. You could try a wintec, they are cheaper and they have the gullet change system. Bates also have the gullet system and aren't synthetic. I have a courbette and it's REALLY comfortable, but it doesn't fit my horse. So just get different saddles on trial to see what fits your horse and you. Any kind of tack exchange places are great to try!

Do you know how to see if english saddles fit?

Les Vogt introduces the two rein set up

I want to start riding my saddlebred in a full bridle. (or a pellum). The bridle with two reins!?

I show my horse saddleseat, but I want to encourage him to set his head. I've been working on building those muscles so he can hold his head up, and he does it very nicely when he's turned out. I won't force him to do anything he can't, but I was wondering what the basics were to buying a full bridle, and how to start getting you horse used to it. I know how to ride with it, I just want to get the horse used to it. Thanks!
I ride him with a martingale and snaffle right now. I've also had lots of practice riding with a full bridle(thats what we call it, might b called a double bridle?). Thanks!

Actually that should be fine but check w/someone who is more experienced like a trainer or mom or dad first to make sure its alright and if you dont feel safe dont do it and when you first put the bridle on dont make him/her set his/her head then after a few rides make her bring it down if her nose is all up in the air. Then eventually after a few weeks get her head down good and give her LOTS of love and breaks w/her head. B/C the first few times she gets it all the way down she might fight and its hard work i went throught his w/my arabian horse. My muscles hurt for awhile and then i got used to it...now ive been getting 1st place ribbons at shows i even got 1st place at the american royal!!! And now my horse has a feather lite head set and i can wiggle the reins and boom her heads there!! I hope things work out!! im glad2 atleast try to help!!
