Corriente Saddles

Anyone ever heard of this?

I got my barrel saddle in december.. i had been stalking it in my local tack shop.. insisting that i sit in it every time i went in there.. LOL.. anyway it's a Corriente saddle.. i really love it, it has a rawhide covered wood tree, and it fits my horse great, i was a little concerned about the price, because it was only like 500 dollars brand new. and i was worried that it might be a cheap saddle.. but i love, my horse loves it... has anyone had any experience with this brand?? does it sound like a good saddle??
thanks!!

P.s the only thing is.. it squeaks.. i know the tree isn't broken, could it just be i haven't oiled it yet? oh that brings me to my other question.. do you oil your saddle? what do you do to make it not crack and stuff? i have heard of people oiling, conditioning ect.. thanks again!!
oh and here is their website if it helps:

That's a pretty nice looking saddle. $500 for a saddle is nothing to laugh at. One of my saddles was $100 almost new and it's a decent saddle. My mum's has been around since before I was born and I doubt that it would have been expensive. I love both of those saddles. Then there is my bf's saddle. He paid $650 for it, as a trail riding saddle. It's built for comfort, but it's not all that practical. Especially for his p!ssy mare. I like some aspects, but there are some I don't like. It's a synthetic Sydd Hill, and although I love that brand, I don't like that saddle. So I know that money doesn't always guarantee quality.

I would say that it is most likely squeaky because it hasn't been oiled and because it's not "worn in" yet. I always try to oil my saddles and bridles. It's a pain in the a$s, but it makes them so much easier to handle. I only oiled the saddle I used today once, and I regret that, the girth was so stiff! I use Joseph Liddy saddle oil, it's pretty good. Do it on a sunny day and put a few coats on it. Make sure you do it every once in a while. I normally can't be bothered, but if you don't keep it up then sometimes it will cause the leather to become worn and crack, I would rather just take the time to oil it than pay to have it fixed.
