This was advertised as an endurance saddle, but I suppose that is an error?
This is a saddle made in Switzerland. It is modeled along the same line as the Stubben saddles. ( German ) To give you an opinion on that saddle, I would rather look at the panels and gullet.(They are the bits the horse is interested in ) The saddle is a close contact jumping saddle. The saddle does look in good condition, and from the front the gullet Chanel looks very good. A little difficult to see, but the flocking does not look lumpy (which is good ) Just make sure that the gullet Chanel is wide enough all the way through ( you don't want the panels crossing the spine) On your photo, the Chanel looked a little narrow towards the back of the saddle (just check this out,) ( it could just be the photo.) No it would not be considered an endurance saddle. An endurance saddle has a deeper seat. several D-ring attachments on the back of the cantle and heavily padded knee rolls for rider comfort. The only likeness is the fact that this saddle looks like it has a very wide tree, this is normal practise for endurance saddles because they are generally made to fit Arabs,which require the wide tree. ( Arabs are commonly used for endurance riding)

how do you tell what model my saddle is?
i am selling my english saddle, and everyone is asking what model it is. i cant remember if it had a billet gaurd. i bought it a couple years ago from the courbette website. its 16 in medium tree. is there a way to tell what model it is? heres pictures
ive been looking at some older models. and it looks almost identical to a magic dressur? but is tht a dressage saddle? either that model or a older version of a cresta? with my the knee pad is a straight edge all the way down the flab, where as the new crestas have curved knee pad. sorry if my terminology is off, i only rode english for less than a year.
Well there should be an imprint somewhere on the flaps, usually under the billets. It should say the saddles number which you should be able to look up.
