what r these rings on the saddle?

can u remove them
There are still called D-rings. There are used to attach saddle bags, and endurance riders use them for attaching sponges, maps... directly to the saddle.
You can't remove them but a saddler could.
EDIT: A D-ring for a crupper would be in the middle of the cantle, one of these wouldn't be suitable.
