dressage Medium
My Horse wont Gain Weight!!! ergant?
i have seen 5 differant feed specialist and had bowen therapy done on my horse( Bullwinkle) he is 14 this year and i have tried everything i can think of. he is a medium level Dressage horse and all i see is bone and no top line, im thinking about retiring him but i want that to be my last option. can any one give any hints tips??
Have you tried mixing your horse's feed with beet pulp? I had a really hard time putting weight on my mare on winter and she's a really picky eater, but she ate this like crazy!
It takes a little bit of time, but mix the beet pulp with water about half an hour before you feed and you can mix your feed in with it. Doing this twice a day would give you the best results.
Bullwinkle is 14, but that's really not that old for a horse - there are some horses still competing in professional show-jumping at 18 years old, and I am still riding my quarter horse and he's 19 now.
