dressage Saddle Excellent
Does anyone know how jump 95cm without losing your seat??
I have been riding for 10 years now (since i was 3!) and i got a new horse last year and we are competing in dressage grade 4 and showjumping 85cm. Usually I have a great seat but when i jump higher than 95cm i tend to get out of the saddle a bit more. My horse is an excellent jumper and i think that she just gets a bit excited. My instructor says that the higher he puts the jumps she jumps an extra 2 foot above it!
Do i need a proper jumping saddle?
the most important thing, is to ride towards the jump with good canter rythm.Try going into a two-point a few strides early and remember to keep heels down. A good tip wich i always use is grabbing a piece of mane to help keep your balance.
By having a good release you will allow your horse to stretch his neck out as he needs without you beeing pulled forward by this movement.
