Dressage Riders!!-What Size Dressage Girth Do I Need!?
I just bought a Prestige Optimax saddle and I now need a girth. My TB usually wears a 50" girth, so what sized dressage girth would he need? I've heard all sorts of ways like "Subtract 20" and "Divide by 2 and then add two inches". I wont have the saddle until later this week and I have a clinic Sat. so I need to get the girth! Also I do not have anyone to borrow a girth from.

Well, the only real way to know is to measure because different saddle makers have different length billets. You can guess if you want to, which is all those little formulas do. Or you can buy 2 or 3 girths in various sizes and return the ones that don't fit.
