Endurance Rider
People who jump- how high do you jump? Just a fun question!?
What's the highest you've ever jumped? How high do you normally jump? How often do you jump your horse?
Me- The highest I've jumped is about 3'6". I am currently jumping 2'9 right now because I am just getting into jumping again after a quick break for about 6 months because I had to train for Endurance.

I have 3 horses i compete regularly. one is an open hunter and eq horse and we normally jump around 3'6 at home and show 4'0
my jumper and i school around 3'-3'6 at home and shown 4'3-4'6.
my evernter and i go prelim and we jump about 3'-4' at home and event pre-lim.
my horses all school level 2 dressage at east. dressage is the most important thing to me when it comes to my horses. w/o it i have no REAL con trol or communication. and i firmly believe no one has business jumping w/o schooling level 1...at least.
on height etc...it varies...depending on how my horses are going etc. i may school them higher and i may school them lower. i may not jump them etc. it all depends, but that is what is the NORM for us.
in a normal week our schedule goes like this...
Sunday: tread-mil for an hour. then they do the "aqua" tread-mil for an hour and get massages/chiro adjustments (only once a month) or w/e else my vet and equine physical therapist suggest for my horse that week.
Monday: trail ride either to the horse park or the lake for a swim.
Tuesday: light flat work
wednesday: flat work with some lateral work and some pole work or w/e it is we need to work on
thursday: trailer the three horses over for a jump lesson with my trainer. we usually do gymnastics thursdays
friday: my horses will stay the night and i will go over and jump them over courses the second day (depending on how well they did they may just do flat work or something)
saturday: day off...i go down and groom them really well and just hang out with them for a bit and play with my baby horse

What's the latest on California endurance rider,Dolly DeCair?
Dolly Decair, a well known endurance rider from California was injured while visiting a friend in Loomis.
From some websites it sounds as if she was accidently knocked down during a free-lance (no tack/ leads) exercise of 2 horses and 1 had stepped on her in the facial area. The last thingI read was that she was in ICU and awaiting surgery after the swelling had gone down.
Her husband Bob was flying there to be w/ her.
Met them both during my marriage to a JJRobinson family member of Aberdeen, Wa back in the mid-90's and was hoping that she had an e-mail address / a way to send my best wishes for her.
