Used English Saddles
Any english saddle cleaning tips?
I was just wondering if anyone had any favorite saddle soaps or conditioners to use on their english saddles. I currently use glycerin saddle soap, then leather dressing(in the blue tin), then Passier leather balm. I'm trying to remove some black crud off the saddle flap from my leathers. Any suggestions would be great!
I like Lexol. If you're not worried about your saddle darkening, I also really like using a very light (!!!) coating of olive oil, especially for really dry leather, but it will darken your tack, and must be applied really lightly.

Try to go to http://www.equinenow.com and look for stirrup, and you can look
for what kind of brand you want. They come from store to persoinal owers. You should be ok, but every brand of saddle is different too.
butterflychic26-I can handle snakes, even huge anacondas but a spider will send me running. I hate them worse than anything. The ticks are BAD this year probly because of our non-existent winter weather. I like english saddles for thier close contact but where I live, and what I do, a western saddle is more practical. I am not suprised your friend is an excellent equestrianne!
