Which breed to show? (opinion)!?

I want to get involved with breed showing and I was just wondering which of these breeds is your favorite. I want to do it all. Western, english, maybe even saddle seat (for arabs) here are the breeds:
Paint
Appaloosa
Arabian
Quarter horse
thx!

arabians, i've been showing arabs for about 8 years now and they are one of the best breed circuits out there. you get the opportunity to show just about any discipline you want, showmanship, equitation, hunter, western, saddle seat, jumping, reining, gaming/speed events, driving, dressage, halter, show hack, sport horse in hand, trail, side saddle, you can do it all. plus you aren't confined to just purebred arabs, there are classes at arab breed shows for both arabians and for half-arabians, so all horses with any arab in them get an equal opportunity to show. whether you are going to show at the class 'a' level or the local level, you'll always find stiff competition with really nice people. so i say, go and try it, most likely you'll find that you will really enjoy yourself. check out the aha website for more information and even some shows that are around you - http://www.arabianhorses.org/default2.asp

My horse is older, but she's still very spunky. I don't want to push her too hard, but can I still ride her?

She's an arabian and she's turning 24. I really would like to ride her a bit more, but I feel rather guilty by just tacking her up with a western saddle (since it's heavier than english). Just for that reason, I only ride for about 10-15 minutes. However, when I do ride her, she enjoys it. Can I get some opinions on whether I can ride her more while using a western or english saddle? Thank you in advance for any answers!

I've got two old girls myself. October is in her twenties, but still has tons of fire and spunk. I'd suggest riding bareback (which I do). Then you don't have to worry about the weight of the saddle and you connect much more closely with the horse.
