Used English Saddles For
Need a good used all purpose saddle?
Anyone know of some websites where I can find a good used all purpose English saddle?? I have done the usual Ebay, equine.com blah blah and was wondering if anyone knew of some lesser knowns that might be good. Thanks!

How to measure my daughter for an english saddle?
I'm not sure what size to get her, she's rather tall now, but has no butt. I didn't ride much english myself and I used an 18. But that will be huge for her. So how do I measure her?
I went to a tack place for my measuements. There really is not a real way to masure though. Basically, you have to sit on a saddle, and if it looks like it fits, and if there's room behind the butt (about a hands width or so) it should be fine. Don't worry if it seems a LITTLE big, your daughter will grow into it. too big, she'll move around alot which is never good, and messes up with equitation. Just make sure she is comfortable, and secure in it. Too small and she'll be pinched. I highly suggest bringing home the saddle she likes for a trial so you can fit it on your horse or poiny. A bad fitting saddle on the horse or pony can lead to back problems, and loss of riding or show time. Good Luck,
