Finally getting a western saddle-help?

Whoo i am finally getting a western saddle-first ever-hghland pony 15" one but it doesnt have a girth.

Do i have to buy a western girth or can a normal one be used also can you use a english bridal with it or do you need a western-I know i should look it up but i want someone who has one to tell me straight thanks
Yey i thought that-I sorta knew but wanted to make sure-Thats god about the ridal because my horse needs her strong bit.thanks
yey my horse knows western but since she came to me she hasnt-i want to see if she can still do it

YES! you need a western girth. although, it is called a cinch in western riding. an english girth will not support the heavy western saddle, plus you tie a western saddle fith a leather strap called a latigo so the english girth with bucckle will not even connect to a western saddle. have someone show you the correct way to tie a latigo
the bridle- you can use and english bridle as long as your using a snaffle bit. for a shank bit you will need a western bridle

Perfect First Pony ***SOLD*** - Murlyn

I have a HDR close contact saddle that is slipping forward and side to side. Is there a saddle pad to help?

My daughter's pony is 13 hh. She rides English and shows Hunter and equitation. We have been saddle shopping for 6 months. Everything seems to slip a bit, but most that we have tried haven't fit at all. He is a funny shaped pony, more like a horse with a sloped wither and funny shoulder. It's hard to explain. We haven't been happy with any of the saddles and she's stayed in her old one but it is looking worn and we are hoping a saddle pad might be suggested as she does not want to use a krupper (sorry if that's spelled wrong) Any suggestions, recommendations or soulful advice is welcome. We are at the end of our reins on this one!
Thanks so much!

use a lollipop they make life a lot easier ask your tack shop peoples what one is and where to find one :) also use a nonslip girth cover and try to use CLOSE CONTACT saddles from now on :) hope i helped!

EXTRA DETAILS:
a wet chamois (or watever) can get your horse/pony sick, irratate the skin, and even cause an allergic reaction! i sugest you dont try it

SORRY TO THE LADY WHO SUGGESTED THAT <3
