Equitation Saddle
I need help with finding the perfect saddle.?
i have been ridding for 6ish years now. i don' t have a horse but i am looking in to one for the future, but i need to to get a saddle soon, i ride mostly jumpers and some hunters and equitation, i do show alot but not in super fancy shows, so i was just wondering what type of saddle you think i should get.

Different people like different saddles, when I was looking for a dressage saddle I tried about seven. I remember trying to ride in a Wintec and was barely able to post because it put my seat in such a strange place, meanwhile one of my friends will only buy Wintecs.
Find a place that will let you do test rides, try a ton of different saddles and choose the one that suits you. Dover Saddlery has a test ride program:

I personally use a Dover Circuit jump saddle and for an inexpensive/not super fancy saddle it works pretty well. Keep in mind that not all horses will fit your saddle and if you do get a horse eventually, it is very likely that you will have to have a saddle fitter come and fit it to your horse. Some saddles work okay with many horses - I have worked in a lesson program for the past few years and they just use one saddle for many of the horses of a similar size (but some need some kind of half saddle pad to make the saddle fit correctly). If you can wait until you buy a horse before you buy a saddle you will probably save a ton of time and money.
