What size filters fits the standard lens for the Canon Digital Rebel Xti?
I have a Canon Digital Rebel Xti 10.1 Mpixel camera with the standard 18-55mm lens. I want to buy a Tiffen lens kit. I thought I should buy a 55mm lens kit; however, I purchased this camera through NewEgg; they try to get you to purchase a lens kit with the camera. The only thing is, they are offering up a 77mm lens kit. So, now I'm confused. What gives?
The 18-55mm kit lens takes a 58 mm filter.

Turn a light fixture to use a standard 12 volt plug that fits in the wall?
I bought a light fixture and i didnt know that a fixture meant that u have to wire it on your ceiling and wat not, but is it possible to turn this fixture to use the standard plug that fits into a wall socket. If so where can I buy one and how easy is it to install
Most wall sockets in the US are 110-120V. 12v is low voltage. If the fixture you bought is intended for 120V, you could rewire it and put a cord and plug on it, but that's a lot of work for not much benefit. Why not just return it and purchase a lamp, ready to use?
I really don't encourage people who have never done any electrical work before from rewiring anything unless you've got someone standing over you teaching you how to do it properly. It's potentially dangerous if you don't do it correctly. And a quite spectacular fail if you hook up something meant for 12V to 120V,
