French Used Saddles Can you think up of any politically incorrect, yet liberal celebrities?
This may be a stupid question, but I can think up of some.
1. Mel Brooks - created "Blazing Saddles" which used the word "ni99er" in an anti-racist light. 2. Richard Pryor - supposedly homophobic and used racial slurs in his comedy. 3. Norman Lear - created "All In the Family." 4. Matt Groening - a Dem who created "The Simpsons," a show that sometimes pokes fun at all sides of the Nolan Chart. 5. Seth McFarlane - a Dem who usually pokes fun at Reps in his show "American Dad" but also pokes fun at people of his own ideology. 6. Most of the Monty Python crew (Eric Idle hates President Bush and the FCC; he also poked fun at the French in Monty Python's Season 4.) 7. Martin Scorsese - He directed such un-PC films as Goodfellas and Casino. For example, "Sand ni99er," an anti-Arab slur, was said in Casino. 8. Robert De Niro - He made Anti-Semitic remarks about Jerry Lewis for The King of Comedy. Look at imdb.com! 9. Samuel L. Jackson for defending Tarantino's controversial work.
The examples you identified only point out the strength of the First Amendment.

Is it difficult to teach an English-based horse to ride Western ?
I'm looking into purchasing a 17-year old Thoroughbred mare, whose great-grandfather is Bold Ruler. She's 15.3h, and was a well-established hunter jumper in the past. She's only been ridden English; how do I teach her to ride Western ? I'm not expecting to hop on her and neck rein and barrel race; I just prefer western, especially for trail riding. So, my questions are:
How do I teach her to accept a western saddle ? How can I be sure which bit to use on her while riding western ? [She's currently in a French Lacey Snaffle, or something like that. I can't access my e-mail at the moment, so I can't tell you the exact name of the bit.] How long will it take for her to become fully accustomed, and comfortable, with being ridden Western ?

It's not difficult at all. But, please be sure you lunge her with the western saddle first! I didnt think that it would matter either but one mare I had threw a bucking fit. Why? The western saddle had a square skirt and it touched her in places she'd never been touched before by the english saddle! LOL Another "all" english horse I had never been mounted EXCEPT from a mounting block and never touched on her rear by a leg swinging over. Another grand surprise! I'd use the same bit as the others said. I know of about three methods to teach her to neck rein. One is big time cheating but it works. Or you can just use a single rein with your hands staying in the center and slide your hands and she'll still understand
Have you ever REALLY thought about neck reining and what we teach horse as far as giving to pressure? Think about it sometime. Which side of that two piece bit it producing pressure and which way is the horse expected to turn?
Right, so pro TT rigs are kind of an interesting case. Frame builders usually have several events in mind with their aero rigs, but mainly UCI ProTeam TT events and professional triathletes. Tris are interesting because you can operate without the pesky UCI breathing down your neck with their rules. One of the big problems with UCI rules in aero events is that they state that non-essential items cannot be added to the bike for aerodynamics sake. Fine, but what does that mean exactly? Let’s use the [Cervelo as an example – you see that triangular water bottle right above the BB cluster? Well, that actually makes the bike MORE aerodynamic – they actually design the bike in the wind tunnel with the water bottle in mind. This is A-OK in tris, but unfortunately the UCI says no dice for TT’s – you can ride a P4 in a UCI event, but you have to remove the water bottle. I’d imagine this is a similar situation – Selle Italia makes a saddle [very similar to – it could be the case that they trained with the particular saddle with the integrated bottle holder, but the UCI wouldn’t let them put a water bottle in it due to their rules. Either way, sights like this have more to do with regulations than aerodynamics.
