French Used Saddles
is my boyfriend too heavy to ride my french saddle-bred gelding?
My boyfriend would like to ride my horse non regular occasions.
he is 14stone around 195lbs .is he too big for my 15.2hh gelding who i use for showing in the summer. my aunt is around the same weight. do you think they wil be ok to ride hime.
Not at all, he is not to heavy to ride that horse.

what are good leather cleaners?
I'm in search of a good leather cleaner for my riding boots. They are custom and i really dont want to mess them up. I need to buy a good product to clean/condition them with that is safe on leather from french calf back shoulder. Cleaning my boots are really important to me, and Vogel stopped selling their boot cleaner which actually made me very upset for a while.
Please dont tell me to use saddle soap because i read on the Vogel website that saddle soap is way too harsh and is not intended for the leather used in riding boots.I refuse to use saddle soap or anything similar to it. I just want a product that cleans, while it conditions.

I've got a pair of Dehner field boots that are now 30 years old and when I use them, I clean them off with some Murphy's Oil Soap and for 3 decades that hasn't been an issue.
