Why are people allergic to pure gold?
I am doing research into gold and I need to find out why people are allergic to pure gold or close to pure gold. I actually know people who cannot wear gold that consists over about 12/14k me being one of them, it causes itchiness redness of the skin etc etc. But all the websites I look at all claim that people are allergic to the nickel in the gold so if its pure gold, how can it contain any nickel to be allergic to?
As 12k gold would be half Gold, it can not be the Gold you are allergic to more likely the other metals in the alloy.
NB only 24 carat gold is pure.

What is the closest time difference between a gold and silver medal winner in any Olympic sport ever?
I want to know what is the event/year/stats of the closest second place (silver medalist) even to a gold medalist, by time, in Olympic history? Like 1/100th of a second in swimming, or 1/10th of a second in short track speed skating? etc...

Luge is measured to 1/1000 of a second. 0.002 seconds separated gold and silver in the 1998 women's event in Nagano.
