Horse Race
Does anyone remember the name of this race horse?
I remember reading about a race horse (years ago, mind you) that was described as "the horse who could never lose."
Not in the literal sense, though. He lost, but he refused to count himself anything but the winner. In one incident, the horse mistakenly went to the winner's circle after finishing second and it took eight or nine people to forcibly pull him out.
I also remember reading that he had an ornery temperament and didn't like being passed on the racetrack. When a horse made a move, he'd bite at them and pin his ears.
Anyway, I account these as mere stories, but does anyone know the name of this race horse? I tried to search on my own through a few search engines, but didn't find anything useful...
I'd say the horse raced about 10 years ago, if that helps at all.
Only one I can think of is Native Dancer AKA The Gray Ghost
1950-1967. He only lost 1 of 22 races.
