Horse Riding
What equipment do you need for horse riding?
I might start horse riding soon and I'd like to know what equipment do you need for the rider AND horse?

To start off you will just need to be dressed correctly.
Basically, this entails a reasonably sturdy pair of shoes or boots with a small separate heel. NOT trainers or wellington boots!
And a pair of reasonably close fitting trousers...its best if they don't have a seam on the inner leg as it may rub you and make your legs sore.
Gloves are also a good idea, something with a grippy palm (like pimple grip gloves or leather ones). Not essential but can help prevent pain and blisters.
Riding schools should provide hats, but if you get into it, you will probably want to buy your own, along with proper riding boots, gloves and jodhpurs, but there is no need for any of that when you first start.
