Horse Saddles And Tack
Whats the best way to clean/soften/generally care for leather horse tack?
I recently purchased new tack for my horse, and i just wondered what is best to do with it while its brand new?
Oil it?
Or soap?
Any sugestions for the best tack cleaner/soaps around?
I used to use carr and day and martin yellow saddle soap, but because it isnt clear it wrecks the stitching, and makes it look messy. thanks
if your tack is brand new you want to oil it let it sit a while then buff it, if your tack is used the you want to soap then oil. never clean leather without putting some kind of oil or conditioner on after cleaning or your leather can start to crack and get dry.

Race Horse Tack Online?
I hope you guys can provide me U.S. based online stores for race horse tack (e.g. race saddles, bridles, etc). My father trains racehorses in asia and I want to send him some U.S. made equipment. Thanks for any help.
I get almost all my tack and barn supplies from either ebay or Big D's tack online. The ebay seller I trust is called Okie and some numbers, I don't recall offhand. The bridles are excellent. The saddles and pads I buy from Big D's, good prices and good quality leather.

1.) Depends on what they need. Annually for shots, a couple hundred at least.
2.) Grass=Hay. It also depends on the donkey. Some might do well just grazing. Others might need food added to their diet to keep their weight up, and to keep them healthy.
3.) Tack stores. Look for some Tack and feed stores in your area with Google.
4.) They can be given treats, though some might be nasty. Again depends on the donkey.
5.) Every day. Especially if they're in a pasture, you need to make sure they haven't been injured at all.
6.) I'm sure they do, but I'm not an expert on Donkies.
7.)Wood and wire fence combo.
8.)Yes if you are small enough, and yes if you know what you're doing.
9.) Put it in your garden, put it in a giant pile, like a compost pile so it heats up to kill any fly eggs, and then spread it in your pasture as a fertilizer… Throw it at people.
