why are the lower classes taking liberties?
Whilst visiting my chums “Biffy” & “Ginger” my man Bagthorpe was forced to slow down due to congestion on the roads, however one was utterly shocked and appalled that the lower orders of common folk have been given transportation on a contraption known as a “bus”, added to the utter insult the “Bus” has been given a priority Lane on the road known as a “Bus Lane”. What the ruddy heck is this country coming to allowing the under classes to travel faster than the upper classes.
Absolute liberty I say….please advise?

I blame this inherent liberal attitude which is prevalent these days, alas, gone are the days when the under privileged either walked, rode a bicycle or took an omnibus. There is nothing wrong old chap with having a bus lane, it keeps the nere do wells to the side of the road. The problem is that liberalistic attitudes have given the lower classes cars. It was usually the domain of the rich. Why I took it upon myself to have my man Cuthbertson to give a severe thrashing to a patrol man of the RAC for not standing at the side of the road and saluting, damned impertinence.

Do you think it's weird that a woman abusing a man is considered funny, while a man abusing a woman is tragic?
In My Super Ex Girlfriend, Uma Thirman's charecter uses her powers to make her ex's life a living hell. And people laugh. But if it were Superman hanging Lois Lane off the Statue of Liberty, no one would think it was funny.
I don't think it's wierd . . . I think it's sick. Double standards are just not okay. Society has done so much to get rid of the old double standards (women aren't smart enough to vote, have a job, etc and those of anything other than white heritage needed special help to succeed), that creating a new set of them is counter-productive.
And, thank you for actually bringing this up . . . I am one of the only people I know who didn't find the wife on "Everybody Loves Raymond" funny when she would back her husband up against the wall, screaming and pointing her finger at him. And,that's only one example. Abusive behavior is abusive behavior, regardless of who's dishing it out.
