Tis the Season: Allergies!?
I have bad allergies, i live in East Texas. Pollen, Trees, Molds you name it we got it here. pollen is everywhere my car is now yellow (was red) because of so much pollen. I cant take ANY meds for my allergies. I'm really sensitive to it, it makes me super tired. and i have to be wide awake for my job (Vet Assistant). so please dont suggest any medication (even it is in Non-Drowsy) Now, I've heard that a spoonfull of local "grown" honey can help relive allergies. because it has your local pollen in it, and you build up an immunity. is this true? it makes since if you think about it. But what else could i try, just not any medication?
o, i am all for natural remedies. like pills that i can take without any side effects. Thanx yall, God Bless

Saddle fitting-how is this different...?
I'm confused about trees. I know that semi qh is like narrow, qh is med, and full qh is wide, but how do gaited trees compare? Are they like wide or medium, long or short back, etc.? I'm assuming they're probably for higher withered horses, right?

Gaited trees have a higher wither and more flair in front to allow for more shoulder movement. But, alas, all gaited horses are not the same and not all gaited trees fit all gaited horses. If you find a close fit, you can compensate with corrective pads. Or you can have a saddle custom made for the same price as a decent new saddle. I had mine made by Dixieland Saddle company (just google the name). They specialize in saddles for gaited horses, and have a huge variety of options. It is a good investment if you plan on keeping your horse for life or if your horses are of the same body style. It was the best investment I made, my already gaited horse has shown marked improvement and is all around happier under saddle with his new custom fit!
