What kind of saddle would work best for me?
I am selling the saddle that I have because the stirrups are too short for me now. I want to get a saddle that I will use for a long time, and I don't really know what would be best. Right now I have a pleasure saddle, but I don't even ride Western Pleasure. I do ride Western however. I have a 3 1/2 year old paint that I broke (am breaking) that needs to be ridden everyday. Most of what we do is trails, but we are starting arena work because in the future I might choose to rope off of her. I also work her in the roundpen and do basics like that often. The trails that we ride differ every time. I need some thing that will not only work for her, but for me as well considering comfort and style. I'm thinking maybe some sort of All Around, but I am not sure what to look for. Please let me know what you think and if possible, please include a link to a pic of the kind of saddle you are talking about.
Something that might work for a few years...
Well I have an old Circle Y that's a late 1960's model. It's the old Richard Schrake type equitation seat.

That is their current model trail saddle.
