All Purpose Jump
My first saddle ... Should I buy an all purpose?
I will be doing schooling, flatwork, and jumping. I am planning on showing in hunter/jumpers in the future, and I was told to get an all purpose saddle, not a close contact. I figured I could do flat work in a close contact saddle, but apperently it's hard...? What do you think? What would be a better investment for me? I do not want to pay an arm and a leg for this saddle either, and I am willing to buy used.
I first got an All purpose and i kind of regret it. A year later i bought a close contact and its SOOO much better for jumping. I'd only get an all purpose if you are starting riding and not knowing if you'll go more dressage or more jumping.
I do like the ap just because it's a wintec syntetic so i don't have to clean it everytime.
You can easily to flat work in a cc, it's just not as comfortable as a dressage saddle.
