Difference between leather colors: Oak Bark and Havana?

I'm looking to buy a HDR plain raised bridle, however I am having trouble picking the color.

I've looked at 3 websites, all have the same picture, but one offers it in Havana, another in Oak Bark, and one in both.

This is one of the websites...I would like the one pictures, but I don't know if that one is Oak Bark or Havana...anyone know the difference?

Thank You!

Yes, I have a saddle that matches the picture, I'm just wondering which color is the one in the picture =]

Problem is that all those saddlers and tackmakers use different names for the colours of leather they use. :( Mostly it seems like havana should be darrrrk like chocolate, and oakbark is redder, and sometimes called chestnut.

If you go to the above site, they show a lot of bridles conveniently on the same horse, so you can better compare the colours. Scroll down to the "Bromont Gold Series" -- that bridle there is Oakbark. Look across to the bridle on the far right at that same level of the page, and I think that one must be Havana. So is the one labelled the Hunt Snaffle Bridle.

Hope that helps?

I found some saddlery leather colour swatches, I doubt they'll help but you can see how different the colours are!

(There's two different havanas here...)

So im asking for some ideas to raise moey for all that stuff :) thnx!! :D

P.S, if your just going to say im not ready for a horse, i need more exspience, blablabla. Then dont bother answering! i have lots of experince and know everything!

See if you can help people at their stables or help with their horses. Or you can mow lawns, baby sit, yard work, inside cleaning, help the elderly, poison weeds, or anything else. That's what I have to do, I'm only 14 so I can't get a job so I have to mow lawns per week and clean my grandma's house per week ($10 are given to me for each job). I have bought a lot of stuff so far, in the past three weeks I have been able to save up enough money for a cinch, reins, and a bridle. Right now I'm saving up for hay for my horse this upcoming winter. Good luck with everything, have fun!! :D
