Can you wear ghillie laces with regular black formal shoes?
I posted this question earlier but was not specific enough. I have a formal event to go to which requires me to wear full highland formal attire. I need to know if it is acceptable to wear ghillie laces with regular black dress shoes or do you wear ghillie laces only with ghillie brogue shoes?
Only with brogues! Black dress shoes must have the appropriate laces, or they will look horrible, no matter what style you're trying to achieve for the event.
