what colors would look good on my arloosa gelding?
he's half arab and half appy lol i think thats like the best cross ever!! anyways what colors do you think would look good on him, like hunter green? navy blue? red, orange, hot pink!? hahah just anything his english tack is havana brown! like what color saddle pads, and blankets, and things.... i personally think hunter, or lighter green.... what do you guys think? and don't say white because white looks good on every horse! lol

Your horse has great action! Ever thought of hunter pleasure or sport horse? I remember I was showing at this Arabian show and there was a very gorgeous Arapaloosa. Perfect blanket and a dark chestnut color. Got First in Hunter Pleasure. Your horse also has pretty good conformation.
I would say... purple, hunter green would look good. Red might clash with her coloring. So would orange. Navy would be good too. Have you ever thought about Aquamarine?? That would be pretty!

What colour saddle for my light dappled grey?
I want to buy a new leather show jumping saddle and am deciding between either havana brown or newmarket brown. My horse is a light dappled grey. Also should I match my bridle, jumping boots & girth+extras with the same colour or just leave them havana brown & have only the saddle newmarket??
I show both English and Western and I would never allow my horse's color to impact the color of leather I purchase. Yes, buy your saddle pads and other tack to match your horse's tone, but do not pick leather color to match your horse.
A saddle is a long term purchase. Your main criteria should be - does this fit my horse's back properly? Does it fit me well? Does it allow me to ride in a good equitation position? And does it conform to the current show look and rules in my area?
Most horses are not shown in black tack. There is no rule against it, at least not in my show books, but it won't be as fashionable as brown tack. If you show it's important that you look experienced, modern and knowledgable, and you will want to use saddles that look similar to what other exhibitors use. The only time English tack is often black is in dressage, in hunters and on-flat classes you seldom see black.
As for whether you choose havana or newmarket brown, I think this is more personal taste. I prefer a browny brown tone, and not one that's too red.
The only other thing I'd try to match would be the saddle leather to the bridle, if you can do so while meeting the other criteria. But truthfully the bridle and saddle are so far apart that minor changes in color aren't that noticable. Jumping boots - they will come and go so they wouldn't even cross my mind. Girth? Look around and see what's popular in your area, and then buy a similar girth that fits your horse well.
