Saddle King Saddles

western riders is this a good brand?
Have you heard anything about the saddle brands TSI, saddle king or simcom? Are they any good?
Those are ok saddles they are among the cheaper ones available. Most would be serviceable and ok. I am not sue how well they are going to hold up over the long run.
Make sure the saddle fits on your horse well and does not slip or sit funny.
My firend has a Saddle King one and it does not sit well on the horse. It flips up and when chinched it just sits funny. It is also not comfortable to ride in at all.
I have a Cirle Y and a Tucker and both were well under $2000 they are very comfortable and fit the horses well.
You can get a good leather saddle for about $1000 or so.
Most under $1500 for a really nice one.
Look at saddles that are made for the sport you are going to be in. Like barrel saddles ir roping saddles.
Barrel saddles are lighter and easier to pick up. They have a deep seat and help to keep you in good position.
Roping saddles are very heavy and made to stay in place when you rope a calf and tie it to the saddle.
