Art Project in involving my horse?

So in our school we have a free art project where we get to chose what we make. I want to do something involving my horse. We can do what ever we want like making a video as long as it has like creativity in it. So what are some ideas? I would like to make a saddle pad but i don't really know if I can because I don't have access to a sewing machine. Thanks.

With about $12 in materials and searching the web for directions, you can make your own rope halter and lead. Colors and decorations (including adding some leather braid trim) are endless. All this requires is following directions and knot tying. My first effort took about an hour with nice results on a simple halter, but you can add all kinds of decor.

The other option that comes to mind is like fingerpainting. With a nice piece of posterboard on a flat piece of plywood, dip your horse's hoof into a water based paint like a kid's fingerpaint and put it on the paper in several places. Wash the foot in a bucket or with a rag, switch colors, and repeat. Move the board around so that the print faces different directions and allow the horse to drag its foot back a time or two to create some lines. Buy several pieces of posterboard so you can try several times until you like your results. Cost is only for posterboard and paint. Come up with some really cool colors to use and title your work accordingly. Like all pastels or sunset colors:
"Buddy Sees the Sun Rise" Or Set. Or all bold primary colors: "Buddy Goes to Kindergarten" or "Buddy Takes Up Hoofpainting" Have your horse "sign" the art with its name.
You can buy a cheap poster frame to mount it if you want it large, or cut it down to fit a frame from the dollar stores.

EDIT: You can also do a plaster paris relief of your horse's hoofprint in the mud. With a product like forensic people use to pour into tracks (craft stores have it) you can get your horse to make tracks into medium firm mud, them make a simple frame around the track, pour in the product, wait until it sets, and pull up your placque with your horse's track in relief. I would then look for a really cool stain to finish it off. Make all four if you can!
