Where can I find fancy saddle pads?

A few years ago, at the Jumper Classic in Hamilton, I bought a saddle pad from one of the vendors. She sold (relatively expensive) hand made saddle pads. They were very fancy- just for schooling though. They looked more like tapestries, they were works of art. I only bought one, can't find the woman's business card, and I really want another! I can't find anything on the internet for these kind of fancy, designer saddlepads. They're very unique. I bought a velvet black one that was quilted with Napoleon bees for the trim.

I know exactly what you are talking about but can't remember the vendor.

I would search for medieval saddle pads, baroque, friesian pads, tapestry pads and see what comes up.

There was one site I remember visiting that had silver engraved stirrups and gorgeous saddle pads. If I remember/find it, I will try to post an edit.

Back In The Saddle Again

A good brand of schooling breeches?

Okay, well I'm hopefully getting a new saddle soon and I've heard that wearing jeans can wear out the leather on the seat of a saddle especially near the seams.

Anyway, what is a good brand of breeches suitable for schooling. I really don't want tights (I have a pair of Kerrits and they are really thin and fairly skintight and make me selfconscious lol)

Whats a good brand that I won't spend a fortune on? (less than 50 $)

I always ride in Breeches. I would never ride in jeans as the seams make me adjust my legs into an incorrect position so I don't get rubbed - which is why western riders can wear them - their legs are slightly different (the position, not the actual legs :) ) I love Dublin and Devonaire, but I buy all my stuff on ebay so I pay around $30 a pair tops. Stay clear of Gatsby girl, they are cheap but wear down quickly.

Oh - and if you have reason to be self conscious in skin tight riding gear (When I had my baby I didn't get a single stretch-mark....I just got an arse full of cellulite!) I suggest spanx. I love spanx!!!
