Barrel racing saddle design???
I have been looking at TONS of barrel saddles, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for or at. Can you help me with the design and function of certain things on the saddle and your preferences. Thanks!
Horns: sone of them are tall and skinny, others are fairly short with a big like nob on the top. And some are forward tilting.
Roughout/suede: Does this really help you stick? If so, I'm going for it!
Bear trap vs. Reglar swell: difference in how well you stay in or security?
And also some saddles have much larger swells than others. Is bigger better?
So yeah, if you can help me determine the purpose of those features and whay your preference is, taht will help me out soooooooo much in my saddle search. THANKS!
I don't know about all the finer points because I use mine for trail riding but I have a bear trap and I love it. It makes you feel so much more secure than a regular saddle. You feel like you couldn't fall out.

I'm buying a saddle, what brand, what saddlery is the best quality?
I'm buying my first barrel racing saddle and there are different brands to choose from but I am look for good quality. I saw a round out saddle, a king series, an American, and there are others but I'm not sure what are better brand and of great quality, can anyone help me?
