Simco Saddle

Should I buy this Simco saddle?
It's an old western Simco saddle and they only want $65 for it.
It's nothing pretty, but pretty isn't exactly what i care about. I just want a decent every day schooling saddle. I'd be using it for schooling WP, reining, and playing with cows every now and then. Also, I'd think it would be good to have a spare saddle.
Anyone have any experience with Simco saddles? I've never used one.
(I already emailed them and asked for more pics and why it is priced so low)

Check the tree to make sure that it is not cracked. Simco was generally a middle of the road, nice using saddle, not one of the top brands and not one of the "el-cheapo" things made later.
Also check carefully that the straps are all good, you don't want to use it and have the latigo snap.
Also be aware that some of the older saddles were made with a narrower tree than today's standard tree. So if you have a wide backed QH, you will run into problems with fit.
