Extra padding suggestions for a saddle that needs re-flocked?
I purchased a nice Stubben Colombo2 saddle on eBay. I got quite a deal on it, but it does need to be re-flocked. I'm having trouble finding someone to re-flock the saddle sooner than a month away. The seller said she jumped in the saddle with extra padding, with no issues.
I'm just looking for suggestions on what pad combination I should use. I currently have a pretty thin square pad, and a Cashel pad. Would those be enough? I was thinking of getting a thick fleece one like this:

And maybe use that with the Cashel pad?
Any suggestions on other pads? I really would like to keep it under $20, as I still have a bridle and girth to buy! ![]()
BTW- this is the square pad I have:

Whenever my saddle needs to get reflocked it's low in back so I use a full foam riser pad under it. The foam spreads the pressure out even under the entire saddle and then the extra half inch in back bumps it up enough to balance the saddle right. They are typically about $20.

Stubben Saddles –
If your saddle really fits, and it is still sliding back, you should get a breast collar or breast plate, which will keep it in place. What type of riding are you doing? I have ridden three arabs in my Sensation Dressage saddle, and it fit all of them wonderfully. Sensation has endurance, western, dressage, and jumping saddles, but they are treeless and that doesn't work for everyone. Personally I love these saddles, and they are decently priced.
