why is the word "yellow" so disliked?
the word yellow seems to be avoided as much as possible, why? and how?
example:
--the spanish national soccer team's 2nd set of uniforms are yellow, and people avoid saying the word and use "mustard" to describe the colour
--people of the Oriental background are called "asians" when their counter parts of other ethnic backgrounds are described as a colour close to their skin tone (ie: black, white...)
and it only happens in the english language, the dislike for the word "yellow"
If you're from a Western country, it means "chicken" or "coward", meaning you're afraid or hesitant of doing things.
If you're from an Asian country, it could be racially motivated [Asians have "yellow" skin, etc...], sexually related, or you're a "pervert".
"Mustard" could be yellow in color but it's not really pure "yellow" most of the time.
Well, the so called White or Caucasian race isn't really as white as a piece of blank paper. Or as my Russian teacher once said, "If you're as white as this sheet of paper, then you're white".
Black? Well, think about it, are so called "black people" really as dark a skin color as the color black, like black ink on a piece of white paper? No.

English Mastiff puppy growling and barking?
I bought the puppy almost 3 weeks ago she is now 4 1/2 months... she liked my toes AGAIN and i told her NO she did it one more time so I got up and said NO she growled at me as im looking at her.. and I go to get closer and she growls again.. she scared me so I change my tone to more gentile and asked what was wrong so I could get her out of the house I have a 3 year old daugther and it scares me IS IT NORMAL?? WHAT SHOULD I DO?? I DONT HAVE EASY ACCES TO A DOG TRAINER.
First, dogs do not know english. "No" means absolutely nothing to her. Second, my dogs growled ALL the time as a form of trying to get me to play. She is not being mean, she wants to play. Puppies need a lot of training to know that they can NOT use their mouths to play. Its not automatic, they dont know all these things until you spend hours teaching them. Mastiffs are stubborn, so yes, it'll take hours every week until she's 1. After that you'll still need refreshers. I own 2 and they are pretty well behaved and I have put countless hours into socialization and training. They still need more...
Im not trying to be mean, but if you cant find a trainer or learn about dogs the best bet is to give her back, give her to a shelter, or find a new home. Mastiffs take A LOT of work in terms of socialization as they're prone to shyness. Shy dogs are fearful dogs and dogs that become afraid show aggression to keep things they are afraid of away. This dog will be 100+ lbs so find a home for her that can train her now because she is too big and no one wants her.
