Western Horse Show
i show my horse in western pleasure classes, can i ride with 2 hands with a shank bit with a jointed mouth ?
i want to go by the rules, even though it's a schooling show.
As long as the shank is not too long !
I would go to a snaffle or tom thumb
Then yes You may ride with two hands
I Judge allot of shows,, so I do know
Now if this show is a 4-H schooling OPEN show and you are a member you must go buy their rules ,, Which you still may show with two hands Now their are other rules also,, One if your horse has never won before with a solid bit in his mouth yes you still may ride w/ 2 hands
Some Will not let you ride a older horse like 5 and over with two hands
so ck with the show and ask which Rules they are going by!
I am sure you will be ok as long as those shanks are not to LONG
I believe the rules is not longer then 2/12 or 3. inches,

Does anyone know where i can get a cheap horse show shirt?
I just started showing western horses again and i am in desperate need of show shirts, but they are so expensive. does anyoone know where to get shirts for cheap?
I bought my last show shirt (this month) at Corral West. I know they aren't everywhere, but they have a website. It was $20!
