Cheapest place to get a NEW Wintec Isabell Dressage saddle?
The cheapest I can find one is for $999 on a number of websites. I've tried ebay, amazon, wintec.com, dover saddlery, statelinetack.com
Are there any other places I can try to get this saddle for less?
I just got a Dover Sale catalog. It was on sale for $800 I think. It was definitely cheaper. If you live near a Dover Store my mom found one for $830, it was on sale. That is truly the only place I've seen it cheaper too. Ebay had some, but they either looked older or weren't the right size for me and I've never seen it cheaper at any online tack store. Which dressage saddle?
Ok, so I've narrowed it down to a few saddles.
There is a Thoroughgood Dressage Saddle (which I put on hold, because I love them.), a Circuit Dressage Saddle, a Wintec (interchangeable), and a Crosby.
Which one do you think would be best?
I am taking each of these saddles out on loan to try them on my horse. My trainer (who has a lot of experience fitting saddles) is going to check each one, and then if we need to have it flocked better we will have the saddle fitter out. I'm not just buying which one looks better. I just want people's experiences with them! Thx
I have the Thoroughgood dressage saddle, which is also interchangeable but I wasnt told at the time so do check. There are 2 models if I remember rightly and S and an R type.
Quite frankly I love it.... It is a beautiful saddle and extremely comfortable.
Although if you have the one with the suedette seating it does scuff easily so ensure you keep it covered. It is easy to clean and maintain and has a FISH system so you can pad out muscle wastage onthe withers.
I had a wintec dressage years ago which felt like sitting on a plank of wood as it was quite flat in the seat. That was years ago so I suppose they have a newer model out now and may have rectified that.
