What do you think about a pink wintec saddle?
I've been watching this saddle be relisted over a few times on ebay its getting cheaper and cheaper 
Its a wintec AP with an interchangable gullet and its described as red and black but its faded and appears pink... not the best look! Aside from the colour which is awful in my oppinion (I can just imaine what everyone would think not to mention my poor horse!) but what is your oppinion on the wintec saddle be it whatever type? Do you think $80 (AUS) is a bit pricey its 2nd hand and unmounted.
Whats there weak points to look out for when purchasing one 2nd hand in comparison to a leather saddle. Are the girth points as strong?
Well, you should consider the cost of a good saddle cover... lol. Pretty embarrassing, you may get some funny looks... Wintec is a great brand though and even though it's 2nd hand, wintec is a high quality brand so you should not have to worry about how strong the billets are. If you are in doubt though, have the seller send you some pics of them. One thing you do need to keep in mind, what kind of leathers have they been using? Many people make the mistake of using leather leathers with a synthetic saddle and the oils in the leather break down the synthetic material and can really do a lot of damage. I would make sure to check into that, you should only use leather on leather and synthetic on synthetic.

What do you think of Wintec saddles?
If you own a Wintec saddle, tell me what you think of it. Do you like it? Does the gullet change system work for you and your horse? I am thinking of getting this saddle. I am leasing a 15.3 or less Welsh pony or Welsh Cob. She is a 48 girth, not too fat or skinny, not to flat and not to boney back. Tell me what size gullet you would suggest! Thanks!
I'd rather have a Wintec than the most expensive saddle, any day!
The easy change gullet system is what does it for me. Horses' backs are changing constantly, so it's really nice to buy the package of gullets, versus a whole new saddle. They're comfortable and very easy to clean- I just vacuum mine! They're affordable, and I love black tack. They're light Weight and very durrable.

spinning is tough the first few times…make sure you bring a gel-seat cover (you can get one at target for like $15). newbies' butts always get chafed at first. just be patient.
heck, you could end up being among those who never have a problem. i've seen people come in and they're just fine.
me, it killed me the first few times. i couldn't stand out of the saddle for very long. but you just keep at it and one day soon, you'll be like everyone else.
