Wintec western saddles?
I trail ride, and don't have a ton of $$ to spend on saddles. Plus this is easy care. I have heard mostly good reviews. I am slightly narrow hipped, so I don't want it to be too wide. What do you think of it?
I had a wintec western for a while on Monster. It was super comfortable for about 5 minutes and then after that I found my @ss hurting because there was awful padding in the seat.
I also found that it fit terribly throughout the shoulder. I tried it on multiple horses and it never sat correctly. Maybe I had a faulty saddle but it just didn't work on any shape of horse.
I bought the synthetic because I'm 5'3" and Monster is 17Hh so I didn't want to risk hurting her back by tossing the saddle on Mystic's back.
Just my two cents. I would be inclined to look for something used.

yes! i only get to ride in a gel-seated wintec once in a while but they are like heaven for the horse rider! they are easy to maintain, schooling, primary and trillium show appropriate (maybe not a or b circut though) and super comfy. and another bonus: they have an interchangable gullet system! yay(clap clap) so if one day you have to sell your horse, your saddle will fit anyother horse you ride (unless its a really fat warm blood or a very anorexic TB lmao) good luck and go with wintec they are totally worth the price. oh ya congrats and have fun with ur new horsie!!!
