Wool Felt Filled

Why does a stray piece of tin foil against your filling make you feel like your head will explode?
It makes me cringe just thinking about it. Same with cotton wool balls.
the alloy in your filling is like an electrode. the saliva is a weak electrolyte. When you get aluminium foil in your mouth, it is like a second electrode and - voila - you have a battery.
that wouldn't be so bad, but one of the electrodes (the filling) is right on your nerve ending.
hence, pain

Doll expert in the UK?
I have these 2 dolls and have no idea what they are. No labels appart from one saying 'not to be sold as a toy, adult collectors only'. It is a boy and a girl, very well made, pocelain heads, hand pained features and I believe they are all hand made due to stiching. Very heavy at their bottoms(feels like oats), but the rest is filled with wool. Kind of farm style, they look like they should be living on a farm with the choice of clothes. They are old, but I can't place them how old. I need help from anyone in the UK that understands dolls. I think they might be Victorian or Georgian from what I googled out but can't be sure. Can anyone point me to an expert that can help please?
